I tossed one like that -- same color and everything -- when Grumpy's ex-wife's family would NOT STOP CALLING here. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I swear those people ... πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„ Can somebody explain to me how an ex- can be the one to boot you to the curb and not want ANYTHING to do with you ... UNTIL you start seeing somebody else?? (My ex- did it, too. HE went up to Grumpy's work one weekend to explain to him just what a horrible mistake he was making by dating me. Cuz I'm a no-good dirty-rotten scoundrel ya know ... πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—) It was so bad at one point that we both thought about trying to hook the two of them up with each other! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ We used to joke that if our exes had just left us to our own devices we probably would have never gotten married. πŸŽ πŸŽ πŸŽ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Here, but occasionally There.
A follow-up to my pictures of the Carpenter's Bluff Bridge near Denison, TX. I ran across this YouTube video where they talked about it and its history. The video was uploaded 5 years ago, so at the time of the video they could still drive across the bridge and the new bridge was being built.

I keep saying I'm gonna switch over to Mint Mobile cuz it's $15/month. I gotta get a new phone first. This one is on it's last leg ... 😒 Things just don't last like they used to. Of course, this phone does a whole lot more than the landline I had in my duplex in Tishomingo. Ahhh, that's a nice little walk down memory lane.

Speaking of landlines, I'm tempted to put one in here at the house again ... Just don't know if I wanna spend the money, though ... 🀷 Any of you guys even know of anyone who has a landline anymore?? 🀷🀷🀷
Cox Entertainment still does landlines. I had one up until about a year ago in addition to my cell service. Unlike the old AT&T lines though, if your power goes out then so does the landline (uses Cox cable via a telephone specific home modem). Still, nice to have a back-up mode of communications just in case the cell towers go down.

I tend to think I’m in pretty decent shape for my age until I spend a day wading in knee deep water and ”quick sand”. My butt is dragging this evening, but dang, it was a beautiful day on the river.:thumb:
Now, I have to clean house and head home in the morning.:cry3:

Question: I never have purchased potable water in volume. Don't really know where to start looking. I haul 250 gallons in a tank in my pickup from my house and transfer to the 300 gallon tank at my cabin. It would be nice to get it closer to the cabin from say Okemah or Bristow.
Check at Okemah or Bristow city hall or ask at fire station. Most cities have a place to purchase potable water. Usually not very much. I know alot of towns around here do, 500 gallons usually $2 to $5 bucks. One had a quarter machine set up 100 gal. for a quarter but now has switched to debit or credit card with $5 buck minimum.

Another idea that you might want to check into is an RV Park. I’ve sold potable water to folks wanting to dry camp with their RV.
