Remember when Obama was occupying our Oval Office he had the NSA, FBI etc provide him with dossiers of those he considered to be contrary to his way of thinking? Maybe that is in effect at present and the reason Republicans are strangely quiet about certain things.

J Edgar Hoover did the same for the FBI since its inception. He could steer the government in the direction he wanted by blackmailing those he had dirt on while being a cross dresser in his private life.
The deep state is real. Trump has exposed them. Until the government is dismantled and rebuilt, nothing will change in our future. The deep state will continue to run how our lives are lived by controlling the legislators that make the laws.

Trump started the change but was ignorant of politics and how they operate to control the country in the start of his first term. He found the deep state's techniques that constantly were brought to play to discredit his administration.
Actually the deep state brought them to light in their efforts to remove him from office when it went public.
Currently he has an acute knowledge of how things have to change.
I'm excited to see the new government as he has promised to reform it as it should be.

They vote to get re-elected, but the wrong vote will get them out of office. Our state representative didn't support the open carry law. He lost in his last election. An a+ person for any gun freedom took his place.

In Bush's case he had to deal with 9/11, that in itself saw massive changes to our country and how we live our daily lives. Mostly not for the better IMO.

I do not blame Bush entirely for that, I place alot of the blame on the clinton regime and their failures to deal with terrorism.
