Don't get me started! FJB! Oh you meant with me.

I have been taking Dad about every 6-8 weeks for a couple years or 3. He has early macular degeneration.

Lol you are a mess! 😂 That's good your dad has you. I bet you enjoy the time with him, too. God works in mysterious ways, my friend. This is time you get to spend with him that life wouldn't "let" you otherwise. I hope the treatments are doing what they are supposed to do.

I am beat. Right before I got hurt I had bought some heavy-duty shelving (because fabric weighs more than most people think) at Sam's and Grumpy was supposed to help me put them together so I could organize my sewing room.

Yeah ... About that ... Lol It has taken me a couple of months but I FINALLY got everything moved around so we could put the last set of shelves up and I can start sorting thru some things ... AND I can see my sewing machine again! 😁😂😂😂 I dunno who was happier -- me or Dawg. (He has a bed under the table. We turn on smooth jazz on YouTube Music or Pandora and he snores while I cut huge pieces of fabric into little tiny pieces so I can sew it back into huge pieces of fabric again. 🤷)

It takes me WAY longer to move stuff around now. Grumpy was joking with me that I USED to be able to move a tote that weighed 75 pounds once. Now I move it one piece of fabric at a time. Lol And he was afraid to ask but did I actually know what I bought ANY of it for. I picked up a piece of cotton and said "This is for a **rattled off the name of a quilt pattern**quilt and this one is for a **rattled off the name of another quilt pattern**quilt ... Rinse, repeat. It took me about a dozen pieces of fabric before he rolled his eyes and said "Okay, okay, you win!!" and muttered under his breath something about me being a smartass?? I think?? I asked but he said that was DEFINITELY NOT what he said. 🤔🙊🤷😂😂😂

Honestly, I'm just happy that I finally feel good enough that I can sit and sew again. I only last about 15-20 minutes. But it's a start. I think when I was working I was just expecting too much outta myself. I mean I could manage getting thru a shift, sure, but I wasn't functioning at home at all. I was popping pain pills and trying to recuperate good enough to go back and do it again the next weekend. It took me a while to realize that I just can't do it ALL anymore. And honestly, I'm way better than anybody thought I'd be (I mean I AM still here ... 🤷 And I'm not paralyzed ... Or worse ... 🤷) so I'm good with whatever I can manage to do that is fun for me. 😋

I bet I don't post in the night owls thread tonight. Lol I'm nodding off just typing this mess out. Y'all have a good evening. I think me and my menagerie are about to call it an evening. 😘😘

Well crap !

Had the stitches removed yesterday morning and just got a call from the doc and the biopsy finally came back and it shows there is still some cancer remaining and I've got to go back in next week and be whittled on again.

Back story:....not counting several other places I've had to have cancer removed from my nose (counting the one coming up) six times and two of those times they had to put me under and take tissue from behind my ears and do a skin grafts to fill in the holes.

Naturally I'd rather have the surgery again than run the risk of losing a portion or all of my nose but one of us is getting mighty damn tired of being whittled on. :)

Not going to preach but I recommend that everyone goes to the dermatologist at least twice a year for a complete head to toe exam......because of my past history with skin cancer I go every 90 days.
Got to be at the doc at 8:00 this morning.....hopefully he gets it all this time.

One of my former customers had a bad problem with skin cancers and had multiple cut out only to come back. He started using some kind of cream on those spots, and it literally sucked the cancer out of his pores. I’m going to try to contact him to find out what it was and where you can get it.

Anybody want a puppy? I posted a thread a little over a week ago about finding six puppies at my place. We’ve found a home for two of them, but we still have four left. I built a new pen for them yesterday on the property of my RV park so that they will be seen more by a potential new dog owner. One of the little $hi*$ kept escaping. I thought that he was climbing on top of the dog house and jumping over the fence, but my wife thought that he was squeezing through the wire hog panel. Turns out, she was right. I hate it when that happens! These aren’t small puppies, and I didn’t think that there was any way that they could squeeze through the wire panel. After modifying the pen, I’ve managed to keep all the little prisoners contained.

Forgot to mention but my regular dermatoligist that cut the first time has got me a appointment this morning with another doc that does the MOHS procedure and also has some training in reconstructive surgery if it's needed....I think my doc has done all he can do in his skill / training level so he passed me on to the doc I'm seeing this morning.

For those that don't know MOHS is were they cut a very thin slice then look at it and if there is still some cancer present they take another slice and keep doing it until there is no cancer present and then start repairing the area.....unlike my regular doc who has to send things out to a lab the good thing about the doc this morning is that he has a lab on site so he cuts, you wait about 20 minutes and he comes back in after reviewing the lab results and either cuts again or starts repairing the area so I'm pretty confident that he'll get it all today.

Thanks for the well wishes.....I've got to get off this thing and start getting ready.
