I'm with you.. I only go to the Dr to continue getting blood pressure meds. Twice a year. I KNOW elevated BP will take you down and is usually easily treated. I continue to refuse other 'routine' tests. The way I figure it.....I've done pretty well for 71 years and have far outlived my expectations. These are just bonus years and I refuse to spend them fretting about what might be and enriching someone in the medical fieldHealth insurance has made doctors filthy stinking nasty rich, and I can assure you that without it a person can live with ALOT of ailments. I went to a doctor at the end of September for the first time in 20 years, found out what I wanted to know, and more than likely won’t go back.
My wife has insurance and a damn carrousel of doctor visits. I can’t convince her that just because they want to see you again next month (to collect more insurance money) doesn’t mean you have to go.
