The sources I saw agree with that. It looks like she’s supposed to be delivered to the Navy next year. The new JFK, if I'm remembering the naming order correctly.

I bought that in 4K UHD DVD, earlier this year. Worth it for the nostalgia value alone. But, but, it's the one that almost got to stop WWII!
Perhaps being sanitized for RIMPAC 2025? Always needing bigger and better targets. It’s interesting that Nimitz is in maintenance, as she’s reaching the end of her designed service life and is slated for retirement this next fiscal year.
I think they only do that on even years. Yep, only even years.Perhaps being sanitized for RIMPAC 2025? Always needing bigger and better targets.
The Lincoln would’ve been far less than halfway through her designed service life in 2008. She’s only been in commission six years longer than the Stennis.I’m actually shocked the Lincoln is still in service. When we shared a harbor, I was on the Stennis, it was nicknamed “Stinkin Lincoln” and was supposedly being decommissioned. That was about 2008.
Hmm, maybe she just seemed old to us at the time because we had Chiefs who had served on the Lincoln in the beginning of their careers. I guess she would have been about 20 at that time. The Lincoln would’ve been far less than halfway through her designed service life in 2008.
