Hmmm. Well, it only feels like it slips if I'm more than half throttle or making a hard turn. Guess it's worth taking the prop in to get checked out at last.

Holy crap! It's fixed! Between the new prop and doing the motor to the next lower angle (excuse my lack of vocabulary for it), it ran like a top. I couldn't believe it. It's been so long since I could jump the boat up and on plane like that. Apparently the hub was slipping internal to the visible outer area of the prop.

I took a pole with me because I haven't been able to fish off the boat for months. It was like I hit the spawn. Bass were hitting the spinner bait so hard they were leaping out of the water. What a blast.
