Overheard at the gun counter....

Knew a guy killed nice buck . Hauled it around for a week in pickup with camper top on it showing buck off . Had chain saw & oil & gas in camper. When no one would look at his deer he hung it in a tree in his front yard . Then he finally butchered it . Tasted like oil & gasoline. Only 1 bite & spit it out. He fed it to the dogs.

We bought a beef that unknown to us had been vaccinated to keep it on its feet. FIL's brother used to be a butcher, so we decided to split it. The medicine taste was so bad we didn't eat any after processing.
Yep, the dogs wouldn't eat it either. Dug a hole in the pasture, dumped it all in and was done with it.

Decades ago while I worked in the sporting goods department at TG&Y, a guy decided to purchase a revolver, he spoke broken English and was unable to successfully read nor complete the 4473, he requested a new form and gave it to his wife to complete. When a store manager came over to sign-off on the document and sale of the firearm, I took him aside and briefed him on what I observed. They left without the firearm and the manager submitted me for employee of the week!
