I read that filming of the show is only four days a month. They film six shows each of the four days for 24 shows.

Not a bad work schedule. Probably why they continued to work there for so long.

His daughter has filled in for him and Vanna several times. She will most likely take over as host.

42 years is a good run. With the recent hospital stays and health issues, I figured Sajak was headed to a deserved retirement. Not do a Trebek and ride it to the end.
