First time helping out with the event but is this common when people find out you are a RO:

I was just under 12 min/mi with a 30-40 lb pack before i decided to drop kick a 30lb set of bolt cutters, barefoot, square into the edge of the jaws. Took a month off and it feels like I am starting all over.

Dude - you are WAY tougher than I am. There's no way I would even TRY drop kicking bolt cutters while running barefoot with 30-40lbs on!

That's a dang good time for hauling 35 lbs.

Thank you, sir. It feels more like trudging than running at this point (especially up hills), but it's a full minute per mile faster than my training times last year. It's still not as fast as some of you guys, but it sure feels good to be making progress.

What min/mi are you guys running when loaded down?

I asked you first! I swear I remember you talking about running 6 min/mi somewhere. That's way faster than I've ever run, even on my BEST day -

6 min/mi maybe 20 years ago.

Matt I hate to tell you this but, I am going to run an AR this match, I have been back and forth. I ran the bolt gun for 3 Pawnee matches.
I weighed AR & complete gear it weighs 24lbs.
After weighing AR I thought that vest felt heavier so I checked it, vest is 30lbs. I ran 4.15 wi a 12:20 pace and 30lb vest that I thought was 25. I think I ran 25 lbs in Dec and forgot that I put a bar back in.
