The recent scheme that has gotten most people involved compromised POS systems. What happens is your stripe data goes both to the system and to a third party over the internet.
The ********* on the other end is then able to produce a card with the exact same magnetic stripe as yours while their name (and sometimes even photo) on the card is theirs.
There are times I really wished I would have thought of this stuff..... I know the security on our system is RIDICULOUS! Yet there will eventually be someone that figures out how to hack it...
