What a surprise !
Today I received two packages from Midway delivered by u.S p s.
Both packages are intact, only one slightly dented corner. No leakage of contents.
Each package weighs about twelve pounds.
Delivery is two days early.
Well, guys, i'm going out to buy lottery tickets.Thank you.

You did better than me. I got a box today from Fedex, a big box, he left it in the front yard, no joke, in the middle of the yard, on the grass, about 12 steps to the porch. The last one was in the middle of the driveway. I'm thinking about not doing business with people that use Fedex.

Well, I get a notice of "Out for delivery"
Expected time between 10:30 am - 6:30 pm. Sounds great, I wasn't expecting before Friday.
I click on tracking number and package is on the dock in BFE, Missouri.

I'm really getting fed up with all delivery services. UPS is the latest.

I had a package that was supposed to be delivered Fri. Mechanical issue delayed that until Mon. No problem. Stuff happens. Mon it's out for delivery. See my driver on the road in my hood while I'm on the way to town. Cool...package should be there soon. Nope. At around 5pm the status changes to:

Reschedule Delivery Requested
Shawnee, OK, United States

Requested by who? It sure as hell wasn't me. Of course, calling doesn't help. CS guy tells me it's been requested the package be delivered on Jan 2nd but he doesn't know who made the request.

My regular driver is pretty squared away and we rarely have issues with any of the delivery drivers (except Mr Personality, our mail guy).

I'm going to recommend calling the shipper, not the carrier. Unless you have a direct line to the local center, you'll probably get a CS person who isn't local. If you get a chance, ask the driver what had happened. It could be something that got misloaded on the truck, which happens DAILY, and is very frustrating as the loader isn't really held that accountable for misloads and the driver has to waste time looking for a package that shows it's in the truck but physically isn't. I suspect that was the case. Either that or the driver ran out of hours.

I'd lean more towards it wasn't on the truck. Like I said, I saw the driver (late morning) very near where we live and he's been very reliable for the 3 years we've lived here. I've found that delivery issues are rarely the result of the delivery driver...except maybe some new folks or a sub. And that's understandable.

CS dude from Pakistan or India (profiling from the accent) said he called the center handling the package (Shawnee) and requested they call me back. I'm not holding my breath. It's not gonna kill me to wait until the 2nd. It's just frustrating because a small part I need to finish up a major project just can't seem to make it here.

I stayed home and played with my new bullets lol.
