Beef butter bacon and eggs are the go-to's. The transition from SAD (standard American diet) is the hardest part. You'll more than likely get keto flu symptoms after about a week or two unless you slowly wean yourself off of carbs. Also takes getting used to only eating everything you've been told are bad for you and not eating everything they say is good for you (veggies). The absence of aches and pains is well worth it imho. You'll more than likely dump 10# in just water weight during transition so drink plenty of fluids and electrolytes.

Have you tried adding fiber, fruits, nuts and vegetables back into your diet (while continuing to exclude all the other junk you had been eating prior to switching to the carnivore diet)?
I’d be curious to know if your aches and pains stayed away or came back.

That would be counterproductive, don't you think?

If you start reading up on oxalates and the effects on the body it really is eye opening. I always wondered why I had such a problem with beans and indigestion or any other vegetables for that matter. I have fallen off the wagon during the holidays and while my knees are still pain free, I do notice that my body is getting stiffer with each day and probably wouldn't take long for old Arthur to creep back in eventually.

So when you say you’ve fallen off the wagon, that makes me think it’s a compete lapse in your diet (eating sugars, carbs, etc) vs selectively adding what have been traditionally known as healthy additions to a diet, increasing fiber, fruit, etc.

And you don’t owe me any explanations. I’m just curious. I know people who pursue the carnivore diet are cutting out a lot of unhealthy stuff. Good on you for your commitment to a healthier life.
