going carnivore for a while helps me reverse weight loss slumps and plateaus - which i am on right now - stuck at the same level for a couple of months

PRoblem for me is i attempt to stay active with some cycling , just resumed taking some martial arts classes - and i live on 10 acres with no outside help - which generates a lot of work in the summertime just keeping up with things

I am resuming carnivore today to shake things up a bit and see if i can get the scale moving again though. It doesnt feel sustainable long term if i am doing a lot of high heart rate activities though

I'm on ozempic too - contrary to popular fiction, - its not an instant magic bullet and after you lose a big block of weight, - at least my experience has been that your body will fight back

Any cramping issues? That's the only problem I've ever had while on keto. Electrolytes can get out of whack. I made my own ketorade concoction that seemed to help, but thought about trying LMNT. I just don't think I could do it while active - like cycling or running.
I sometimes have legs cramps first thing when I get up. But I did sometimes before I started the diet. I don't drink enough water and really never did. I drink the LMNT 100% of the time when I drink a liquid. When I know I've drank enough water in a day I don't get cramps.

Anyone else still keeping up this way of eating? I've gone from 286# down to around 228# in a relatively short amount of time 6-8 months, but have paid the price with telogen effluvium. For those not in the know, it is hair loss/thinning due to rapid weight loss. I've been bouncing back and forth from the diet due to the holidays, but transitioning back on the wagon now that the festivities are in the rear view mirror. My question is has anyone else experience the hair thinning scenario? If so, how long till it goes back to normal? My google-fu varies from a couple of months to a year. I'm hoping it's the former so I can go back to using normal shampoo instead of just for men hair dye. The thinning along with the gray patches made it look a lot worse than it should. Still love how easy it is to lose weight on carnivore, but wish I would have been more informed on the hair thing as I would have been more conscious on my protein intake and calorie consumption to not drop lbs too fast causing my follicle stress. Hindsight is 20/20 and still glad I tried this way of eating as the absence of inflammation far outweighs the hair issues.

I am day 1 today.

I can already tell I am going to have a hard time with this.

Cokes are my stress reliever at work, its the only time I drink them, maybe 2 in my shift., but it helps me deal with all the crap I take from co workers, managers and yes customers.

Stress is my down fall, but at the end of my work day I dont want to go anywhere and deal with yet again more people.

I dont eat a lot, just the wrong things, mostly carb heavy, to deal with the stress.

I have done this in the past and saw results, but I get tired of the same food day in and day out and before you know it carbs are back in.

Lets see if I survive.

You don’t have to eat the same foods day in and day out. Do some research.

If you don’t get rid of the sugars and grains you may as well not even try carnivore (hint: you can’t).

Good luck. The past two holidays have not been helpful for healthy eating, I've fallen off the wagon for pretty much two months.

I'm about half-assed carnivore, leaning more toward keto since I do eat some carbs throughout the day. Still staying away from bread, pasta, chips. I like Coke as well and drink Coke Zero. Not because it's a healthy choice but because it has no carbs in it.

Do what you can and put in a good effort, just don't beat yourself up if you don't hit the strict carnivore level.

My quickest weight loss was around 10# when I started this, which happened in about a month. I'm not trying to lose weight, just eat better but I didn't/don't have hair loss issues from this.
