Nationally, more than 1.5 million people were arrested last year on nonviolent drug complaints and more than half of those arrests (749,825) were connected to marijuana, and 88 percent of those people were booked on possession-only complaints. Marijuana possession-only arrest figures are not available in Oklahoma City or statewide.

let's break those numbers down shall we? first there's no reason to think Oklahoma is any different from national averages for pot arrests.
so 1.5 million folks arrested last year on nonviolent drug complaints .. 50% or 749,825 were for pot .. 88% or 659,837 were for simple pot possession-only.
soooo .. over 600,000 people in the USA last year had their lives ruined over simple pot possession. can't wait until Pot is legal in Oklahoma and not just for medical purposes. as cash strapped as the State of Oklahoma is ... costs nothing to pass laws legalizing Pot .. almost immediately saves Oklahoma $$$$ millions!!!
then factor $$$ millions for pot tax to be collected ... Pot in no way shape or form is remotely close to other class 1 narcotics. my guess is if this was put to a vote of the people of Oklahoma .. Pot legalization would pass with ease.
