BS! read it again ...New England Journal of Medicine like all world class publications are evidence based. just like modern medicine are evidence based medicine.

above was a poll administered to thousands of doctors world wide .. conclusion was 76% of doctors are in favor of legalization of pot for medical purposes.

folks of your ilk will not believe in scientific evidence .. no matter how solid said evidence is .. there is absolutely NO scientific evidence pot should be classified as a class I drug same as heroin or cocaine. pot is classified as a class I narcotic purely because of political reasons. NOT scientific reasons .. as there are NONE!

Read your own post, when I quoted it I put it in bold for you, and it is not only doctors that read and vote in their polls, I do to sometimes.

What difference does it make if the AMA or the BFD is for it or not? Are you free to choose what you wish to ingest or aren't you? Seems simple enough to me.
Yes dope makes you slow, doesn't enhance your good looks, and ruins families. So does whiskey, adultery, and a multitude of bad decisions....
I guess some folks aren't confident enough in their own judgement to be left with such decisions.

You are not smart enough to make those decisions yourself. Just like cradle to grave socialized health care, protection from gun violence by all out bans on assault weapons you also aren't smart enough to make decisions on what to imbibe, go ahead have some more booze.

I am going to predict an increase in traffic law enforcement in hopes of discovering wacky tabacky. . .

Officer: "The reason I pulled you over is you have a taillight out"
Tourist: "Oh ok I'll get that fixed next town I come to"
Officer: "I detect an odor of marijuana, step out of the car"

I know an officer that had a documented record of smelling the odor of marijuana on every traffic stop of a non-local (and on some locals).
