Considering that he was symptomatic when he went to the hospital he was already contagious, saliva from coughing, poor toiletry habits and as has been noted a restaurant with poor sanitary conditions could contribute to him spreading this far more easily than it sounds.

I'm not an epidemiologists, but I'd say I have some good reasons to be concerned. Ebola is a little more rugged than HIV which actually dies on exposure to oxygen.
