I just sold guns to sooner state pawn in OKC this week. I took in three guns and they gave me as much or more than I was hoping for two of them and offered me less than I wanted for a third so I just sold the two.

Most pawnshops have an option where they hand you cash on the spot or allow you to put them up for consignment where you pick the price and they get generally 10% of the sale.

I have also sold guns in the past in private party sales, it all just comes down to your comfort level. I generally would not sell a gun to somebody I didn’t know personally unless I met them at an FFL to assist in the transfer. I’m not saying that’s right, but that is my comfort level.

As far as the price of AR‘s, it varies wildly depending on the maker and the quality. You can get a Smith & Wesson or PSA for as cheap as 4 or $500 or you can spend $4000 on an HK.

Private sales are legal in OK. There is no background check requirement for a private sale.

You can advertise them for sale on this forum by meeting a minimum time requirement as a member or by becoming a supporting member. I have decent luck selling items here.

Or, you can take them to a gun shop that offers consignment services. Of course, you'll have to pay them a fee for each item sold.

Yes... A pawn shop will give you pennies on the dollar. A dealer, if he buys them, will give you a low wholesale price. Again...private party sales are legal in OK. You need to have a reasonable belief you're not selling to a prohibited person. So ask them. Check a drivers license to make sure they're an OK resident. Get money, give gun.

Although I don't think it's a statutory requirement to check someone's DL or ID for a private sale to ensure they're a resident.

No... you are not required to verify that they are an Oklahoma resident. You just cannot sell to them if you know that they are not. You're welcome to ask for a DL if you want to verify, but are not required to by law.
