I like the jack stack seasoning. They have one for poultry that is excellent on chicken thighs.

When I lived in San Antonio, I used to go out and cut a few twigs of Mesquite and they gave charcoaled meat a great flavor. Recently I found a packet of Mesquite flavor seasoning and figured I'd try it and see how things went. Bottom line is that I'll forgo the rub stuff, it isn't worth the effort or cost.
