I don't train like I should at all, but I know I should... I'm always in the gym for a month or two, then out for 6. Although I haven't been to the gym in a few months, I've been sticking as close to the paleo diet as possible and I've lost 30+ lbs, so I'm not doing too bad, as I'm down to a more acceptable weight for my height (185 at 5'11", was at 222 a year or so back) I really need to find a good, well rounded training routine and stick to it, because I totally agree that fitness is a vital prep.

Fitness and exercise is extremely important, but for those of us over 50, start slow and build up.
This is an effective routine.
