It might also get you killed. Sound is a classic target indicator and alerts your adversary to your position.

It sounds tough and cool when you say that but in the real world it's a stupid tactic.
The first indicator a bad guy will experience is a bright light, optimally it will be their last also.

Can you shoot 2-3/4 low brass field loads and 3" mag 00 buck from the same gun?
Yes. My Benelli Vinci will run Winchester AA 1145 FPS bird, Federal low recoil Flight control buck and Win Ranger Low recoil slugs. My Benelli M2 and FN SLP would run all that too. Most of my shooting back when I did shoot them often was with cheap federal bulk pack bird shot from Walmart.

I'm either a double shotgun or O/U when in the field chasing birds other than dove when the 46 model Sweet 16 comes out.
Shot a ton of trap in the day with a Browning Citori 0/U and played the shotgun games at some of the OKC Gun Club tactical matches.
There are several pumps and single shot and combo guns in the safe that don't get much use other than the restored Model 12 that comes out for some backyard trap shooting just to exercise it.
My first was an H&R single shot .410 that I bought at 11 yrs old with yard mowing money. It was the only firearm I owned until into the early 20's, and was the only firearm I needed to hunt as small game was all that was taken. With the ejector system, and two spare shells under the hand on the forearm, it was pretty quick to reload in the field.
Most of my cousins and both kids used that .410 as their first gun to go hunting with when I took them.

@dennishoddy I’m a big Model 12 fan. This old girl was made in 1947, the same year my mother was born so a grabbed it and restored it having it reblued while I did the wood work. It’s really my go to for trap/dove. When I got it, it was in pretty rough shape but darn thing turned out pretty nice even if I do say so myself. drat! Couldn’t find one after the bluing, I’ll see if I can take one in the morning if anyone’s interested 😉
