Question about a ak 47 style rifle

A buddy of mine has a rifle that looks like a ak but the shells say 270 they do not look like a 270 hunting rifle round it kinda looks like a 223 with a longer lead . He is wanting to sell it but I do not know what to offer him.

Probably 270 factory headstamp. Probably 5.45X39

it's probably a 5.45x39 rifle, googling says the 270 headstamp on 5.45x39 belongs to Lugansk in the Ukraine.
so the ammo is probably Ukranian surplus.

I love my 5.45x39. Just a little fyi. Just make sure it was cleaned well after he shot that surplus ammo.

Im thinking about picking it up he wants 200 but said he would take 170 in need some mods taken back off but besides that it looks like a pretty good gun i seen them on gun broker for quit a bit more than that but does anybody know were i can get ammo in north east oklahoma. I have never bought one before what are some of the things i need to look for before i buy it and soonertactical i might just be selling it you will have first shot at it but i am going to fire it a few times before and after i buy it.
