I've rarely used scopes, but my mom gave me my dads (who passed away in 2001) Glenfield 75
And the scope was bad.
I bought an AIM red dot model rte-25 to replace the scope.
I went to zero it and it shoots way low...about a foot low at 10 yards.
That is after I adjusted it as much as it will go. Left to right, it is fine.

Do you all have any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong...or is it a bad scope?

Any advise is appreciated.

Well, just take a good look at the way it's mounted. Eyeball it to see if it looks parallel to the barrel/receiver. It may be sitting cockeyed. Or, it just may be a bad scope.

If you can, get the scope back to a default position and start over. You may be going in the wrong direction.
