If I have a VPO in Oklahoma county, is it only effective here, or can someone be charged for violating it in Texas for example?

Has it been served yet? They are enforceable in all 50 states. Make sure to keep a copy of the order on you 24/7.
It is illegal to own a gun only if it is for domestic violence.
It's true that a Final VPO does prohibit firearm AND ammo ownership. A temporary one that is granted Ex Parte does not. There has to be an actual represented hearing scheduled and completed where the accused has the opportunity defend themselves in court for it to become final.
A final VPO contains language concerning harassment, stalking, etc... domestic violence doesn't have to be proven in order to obtain one and there is no discernment that I am aware of in it's application once it is final.
