If you live in NW Okla. you can catch Gun Talk on KFRM 550AM from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday. They also have a lot of good old radio shows(from the '30's, 40's, 50's) on after Gun Talk. I think that KTOK still has one hour of GT on Sunday morning about 8:00am.

I listen to Coast to Coast AM. Some of the topics and calls help remind me that I'm still relatively sane. It's such good medicine, I have a Coast Insider subscription so that I don't have to wait until 12AM-4AM and so that I can catch up in the event that I go to bed early. You have to make sure you catch the date when they do a Somewhere in Time rerun. A lot of the early to mid-90's stuff sounds like a discussion on current events if you don't.

Other than that, its a mix of Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Boortz, Ingraham, Ramsey, Brinker, and Handel.

I love Bill Handel's flavor of sarcasm. He's also what's on as soon as I get out of church.

Dave Ramsey also has a good flavor of sarcasm, and sometimes I'll hear someone call in about something that I'm wondering about.

Bob Brinker generally has good financial advice, although it tends to be a bit too conservative for my taste. I mean, seriously... CDs?

Neal Boortz - need I say more? I like it when someone speaks their mind. As he's gotten closer to retirement, he does even more of it (typically followed with "What are they gonna do, fire me?").

Laura Ingraham I only listen to every now and then. She's such a propaganda machine that she makes Sean Hannity look like balanced news.

Rush Limbaugh generally has the basic facts together, although his conclusions and interpretations can be a little out there.

Glenn Beck used to be pretty good, but he's become a holier-than-thou propaganda machine. However, the humor between him and Pat (?) is my type.

I used to listen to a bit of Michael Savage, but he touts that he has a Ph.D and two masters in ethnomedicine, botany, and medical anthropology (respectively) and then spreads misinformation that he should know isn't true in those fields. I can't stand liars, and I hate liars that try to use their credentials as a foundation to prove "truth" even more.

As for picking up 740AM in Clinton, it's because they use a 6-tower direction array. When they built the station, they wanted to cover a very sizable chunk of the state (who wouldn't) but couldn't interfere with stations to the north and south. So their solution was to build and array of 6 towers and place directional equipment on there instead of the traditional omni-directional. And what you get is a long range WSW/ENE with a short range N/S.

Laura Ingraham, I listen sometimes, se didn't like McCain at all, I don't think she was a Romney fan in the primaries. She's a Catholic. unmarried (I think) mother and breast cancer survivor. She twists words to fit her conclusions some times, but I think she knows when she's doing it and does more to stir stufff up than anything. If I'm not mistaken she was a Supreme Court law clerk too, with a law liscence in Connecticut.

I always heard KOKC kind of aimed it's broadcast at the left coast.

I think all of these shows pretty much tell you the present commentary and opinion on the news and politics of the day.

Limbaugh used to preface his tv show with, "I am not a journalist, I am here to entertain you with opinion and commentary on news and politics of the day". Something like that.

Rarely listen to talk radio. If I pick up Boortz, I'll listen. Rush is entertaining. Hannity and Ingraham are shills. Beck has strayed from his defense of the Constitution as he supports defending Israel at all costs which is a condradiction to those Founding Father's he often cites.

I was in Ogallala, Nebraska a few days ago. Picked up 1520AM as the sun began to set. Loud and clear from about 450 miles away.
