Built a kayak mover yesterday. Mine weighs 78 lbs. it’s bulky to just pick up and move. Had the front tires and axles from an old sears lawn tractor in the loft knowing they would be built for something.
Have about 10 hours in it for zero dollars.
I could have bought one on Amazon that was premade for $38 but what fun is that?
Makes it super easy to move around the shop, load/unload from the pickup.

Against common recommendations, I actually used my planer. I took exceptionally light passes, but still ended up having to cut off the ends because of chip out. But it was only about a quarter of an inch, so it wasn't a big deal.
Glue sacrificial wood (like pine or scrap) to the edges and saw it off when finished.

One of the few good things about this whole beer virus bs is that I've had a "little" extra time on my hands and I've had a chance to make myself a new cutting board.

I didn't even need to add washers under the feet on this one too keep it from rocking. [emoji38]

Quote: Got the planer finished up. Well except for the new elevation handle that's broke. Still gotta get that but it's finished
Glad you got it Dennis, you have room in the shop and got it working. I don't have so much room in the garage with all the mowers, table saw and junk.
