Is there a gun range in Osage County?
no public range that I am aware of, but it is a big county!
Theres a place where people go shoot by Pawnee Lake. There's also a gunsmith/electrician that has some ranges set up by his house. He used to let people come out and shoot but havent heard of him in years.
You're welcome to shoot at my house. Dog is in heat, been bringing in strange dogs that growl at my kids... Four furs down... Think it's about time to get her fixed
Reade, I see your from Hominy. I know of a Gun Range just outside Hominy that is open to the public. Message me for details and I will give you info and directions.
Last I heard the range at Pawnee lake is closed. Too many people bringing in trash, and an incident.
Ponca City has a range that is awesome, but its a little drive for you, and its members only, unless shooting a match, or participating in a public event the club sponsors like the public sight in day for deer hunters they put on today. http://www.poncarpc.org/
Though I'm not a member, having shot at PRPC as guest, it's a wonderful locale and general setup. Definitely worth the membership investment. Dennis doesn't lie.

What was the incident?
I'm a member, but it's been a few years since I joined so I haven't checked the current sign-up rate. Still, have you ever been to Red Castle? It's an excellent facility with a number of ranges for small bore, pistol, bench rest, high-power iron silhouette, shotgun, etc. It's also the only one around that I know of where you can routinely shoot out to 600 yards AND where you can shoot full-auto if you so desire.
