Went to an auction today that had this flag. Auctioneer states it was a tank flag. Someone, not me, took it home for 75.00. The problem I saw with it, excluding political or moral issues, was it looked too new for a cloth object that would be over 75 years old. It showed no wear almost like it was made recently. IDK. If this is the same flag, it's advertised as a Third Reich Boat Flag. https://privatecollections.ca/WW2-g...3-double-side-flag-cords-swastika-third-reich
The one thing I did bring home from the auction was this. 1” Mitutoyo micrometer. Snagged it for $7.50! Checked in Amazon and they go for over $200.00. I’ll clean it tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Just because someone collects WWII stuff it doesn’t make them a sympathizer, I would buy an original for the right price, not because I support the nazi’s it’s history and there is no denying the German army was amazing in its day. We are lucky a psycho like Hitler was calling the shots or they might have conquered most of the world.
I have a couple of German WWII medals, and I'm definitely not a nazi sympathizer... I was told my great-uncle took them off the bodies of dead German soldiers.
Nothing wrong with the spoils of war as souvenirs. Both my grandfathers and a great uncle we’re in the war. Neither had any bring backs that I am aware of
The point I was making is the flag looks too clean and too new with no fading to be an original. There is already lots of fake flags, medals, patches and uniforms floating around. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
