You can't say FEMA is doing nothing. Here's the latest press release from Homeland Security (FEMA is under HS). Since those affected don't have power and many without cell service, they won't ever see it but at least the head of this is reaching out to let them know that THEY are concerned.

Yet Desantis announced today that 100% of the electrical grid has been restored in Florida.
FEMA had little to nothing to do with the recovery.
This is telling us that the state government may be lacking in responsibility to help their own citizens in those effected states.
