You think Christians are silent about child rapists? SMH
I know they are. The coverups over decades, thousands of victims, and god knows how many millions of court settlements wouldn't have happened without it. Again, where's all the clergy molestation outrage threads? You'd figure that would be high priority over some transgender kid getting a shave.
If you want to know why there aren’t threads on OSA with supposed sanctimonious judgement (saying some behavior or belief is wrong is neither sanctimonious nor judgement, by the way), it’s because there are no TV ads portraying child rape as normal and heartwarming. There’s no one saying child rapists just want to embrace their true identity, aren’t hurting anyone, we have to pretend they are something they aren’t, they should be able to use children-only bathrooms, etc.
Gillitte is virtual signaling for sure as someone said, but that doesn't mean we have to treat the individual like garbage or any different in terms of being a human being. Child molesters are subhuman IMO but apparently the church can look the other way...... but by god don't show that transgender kid shaving!!! Again, all of the "sin" going on in the world and in the news.....and here we are.
Take a look at yourself. You’re being more sanctimonious than anyone else in this thread. Your posts are dripping with self-righteousness and superiority. I’m amazed at how patient everyone has been with you bashing beliefs and values we genuinely hold dear and strive in good faith to uphold, even though we acknowledge no one is perfect at it. My patience is wearing thin, so I’m going to unsubscribe from this thread for a while.
I'm not bashing your values, I'm pointing out the hypocrisy and the confusion defining and concerning them. There's a difference.
And you may mock me praying for you, but I wasn’t just saying it. I yearn for you to know and experience what I have with God. I keep feeling prompted to pray for you in this way, which I think means you will believe as I do someday. I hope so because knowing God through Jesus’ sacrifice is the best thing I have experienced in this world and I want that for you too. That is what I, as a Christian, want for others. Not to impose my will on them so they stop doing things I disapprove of.
Imagine if I stepped in a prayer thread and said, "I hope you figure out the truth one day" you all would lose your minds and rightly so. I mocked you because you must realize that people are intelligent enough to make their own decisions in terms of their spirituality. They have found their truth, just not YOUR truth. They don't need others telling them what to believe, when they come to that point of awareness, in whatever their belief may be, they need to be left alone.
