Shop around in pretty much anything right now and you’ll probably find reduced cost and excess inventory.

Unless you're looking for a decent used pickup. We had a helluva time finding something that didn't have 150+ thousand miles on it. Even 2021 and 2022 pickups are high miles it seems.

Finally found a 2016 F250, one owner, with 88k miles. The truck looked damn near new. We didn't really want something that old but this truck was in way better condition than most of the newer stuff we looked at.

Me personally I’ve never bought anything used that had over 30,000 miles, but that’s me. I inspect like crazy and have said vehicle inspected by others besides the dealer selling.

I got a new Bronco 1978. 351 Modified and 4 on the floor. I wish a) I'd taken care of it and b) never sold it.
Of the 2nd gen Broncos, 78 & 79 were the best ever made. Had the 351 or big 400 engine. They are highly sought after these days.

If the Trump plan of tax deductible interest on car loans actually happens even more people will be buying cars they don’t need with money they don’t have. Today’s Broncho’s and Raptors are driven by pretenders compensating for other things. The old ones were actually functional but now just a bunch of “off road” crap is bolted on for those who seldom leave the pavement.

I get that. I don't want to take on someone else's problems, either.

But in the last 15 years I've bought several used trucks including a 94 F350 dually (7.3L) with over 250k miles on it. It had a big Lance slide-in camper on it and my son and I drove that rig up to Idaho from Colorado and spent a week camping. I don't mind the miles as long as something looks like it's been cared for. And trying to find a 30k mile truck these days at a price within our particular budget just wasn't happening.
