Rifle Match

I have never been to a rifle match, so what would a match like this consist of? I would be interested in trying the rimfire open if my wife doesn't have anything going on that weekend.

Ok. I made the call and got the range. My inbox is flooded so you all better show up!

We will start shooting at 9:00am, sign in at 8:00, walk-through at 8:30. 5 stages and approximately 120 rounds.

It looks like I may be able to attend this as well. It would also be my first rifle match(Hell 1st match in general) and I was wondering what the distances were for an event like this. Would something like this be a good place for me to start or should I wait?

Expect most shots to be within 30 yards and a bit of movement. We will shoot out to 100 yards with the rimfire and 300 with the centerfire rifles. We will have a 300 yard bonus Target for both.

The last rifle match that we had here was a really good time! This is also a great group of people and format for a first match...
