Rossi revolver on sale at Academy Sports

I was looking through the Sunday ads in the Tulsa World today and saw that Academy Sports has a Rossi 38 Special revolver on sale for $199.99. ASny opinions on the gun?

I had a Rossi wheelgun and had no problems.

They're generally not expected to hold up well under heavy use, but I can't comment on that as I didn't shoot it much. I think they're fine for house / truck guns.

Agreed. They are great little cheap guns for keeping in the truck or sitting in the night stand.

I"ve owned a couple of the Rossi 3in. 38"s All were great little
shooters and not a bad carry gun. Was looking at some last weekend
at gunshow they were wanting more than this for used ones

I had one .357 that I put some rounds through before giving it to my mom.

I didn't have any problems with it at all. It's definitely not the same experience as shooting a S&W or other high end revolver, but it worked fine.

I would consider it trust worthy enough for me to keep it as a backup personal defense gun around the home.

Also my guess would be yes, I think it is +P rated.

you can shoot +p I wouldn't run much through it though.

I have one have put at least 2-300 rounds down it no issues really. Decent shooter. SA trigger is feather light - pretty stiff DA - lockup isn't bad I am happy with mine.

I would NOT buy one of those, I know that one of the academy stores has 4 broken in the safe that are brand new in the box, the part of the hammer that hits the primer snapped off, the one on display is the same way.
