I used some 400 grit to rough up the factory charge handle, and a file to cut serrations into it. Plugged a spent case with PC7/epoxy putty, pushed it on, used a small stick of wood (blunt cut toothpick) to push the epoxy into the serrations, let it cure for a day. Rock solid and will last the life of the spring.
