I've been wanting a semi-automatic .22 rifle again.

I was going to get a CMMG conversion for an AR-15 but I would like something other than an AR platform .22.

I've had a few Marlin 60s over the years and I like them but they seem to be a bit pricey lately. I have never really wanted a 10-22 and they are too expensive anyway.

What ~$100 rifle should I consider for a fun plinking .22?

The Savage 62 (Same as the 64 with a cheaper finish) is a good little 22 for the money. If you can find a Walmart that carries long guns, they can be had for $120-$140.
Beyond that I'd recommend the Mossberg 702 or the Rossi RB22.
A old Marlin 60 can still be found for around $150 if you get lucky.

Sooner State pawn has a Savage 64 right now for $139

I found one!

I got a 1969 Glenfield "Golden 50" Model 60, which was Otasco's 50th anniversary model, from a another member here in Shawnee. Very convenient. I even got to put a few rounds through it before I bought it.

She shows her age a bit but so do I.
