blast from the past .. looks like this is still a good thread ..
Good to see you back on the board! I'm sure many have used this tutorial to clean their pistolas.
yup it's been awhile .. hope everything is well with the OSA family ..
I'll sneak back to this thread for reminders when I'm doing a S&W teardown ..
Don't be a stranger!
A "good" thread? Oh no; it's a great thread. I'm one who has referred to this often; it is one of the best stickies ever. Thank you, hope to see you around more often, we could sure benefit from it as a group.
Yes, ditto what Joel said. I’ve used it a few times for reference.
I used it just recently to help me put a Wilson Trigger kit in a J-Frame. Just the part about getting the baseplate back on easily was worth the time to read this again.
Wolff springs are on order for new to me S&W 340PD
plans for a tear down and tune with Wolff rebound springs 11-15lbs
Just used this again today. I really appreciate this write up. There’s just something about getting through that teardown and smoothing everything out. Thank you.
One of the best threads to ever hit OSA. S&W didn't make disassembly and reassembly easy. This thread explains it all.
