I also enjoyed his comments and such on artifacts, and because I knew he had that interest, I usually tried to give him links to photos I had taken of such places as Mesa Verde and places that had petroglyphs and pictograms. If I remember right, I think he said that he had made it to the J.M. Davis Museum view back when we did that, but he and I didn't actually meet up.
Sad to see another good man gone.
