As Senior Ride Captain in NE Oklahoma for the Patriot Guard Riders, I would like to express my gratitude for the Rogers Co. Blue Star Mothers and their exceptional work in seeing this young Hero honored.

I also appreciate your kind comments about the PGR. We don't do this alone though, we are blessed with the participation of volunteers from all walks of life and many other organizations. American Veterans M/C, American Legion Riders, Combat Vets, Christian Motorcycle Association, Women In The Wind, Rolling Thunder and more.. were all present at SSGT Drake's services.

Riders in attendance hailed from; Kansas City, Iola, Ks., Arkansas and Missouri, and of course Oklahoma Riders from all over the state.

Law Enforcement participation was amazing. Route 66 was essentially shutdown and cleared for the Procession from the church to the cemetery, and at every intersection a cruiser with an officer standing tall, holding salute.

The citizens of Claremore lined the streets along the way, veterans saluting, children holding flags, an entire elementary school lining the curb.

All three Ride Captain's assigned to the Drake services, including me, attended the Welcome Home for Bravo Co. 2-285th. Following the celebration, the Rogers Co. Blue Star Mothers requested an escort to Claremore for 2 of their hometown Heroes. SSGT Drake was one of them. We all had a special connection to him.

He will not be forgotten.
