We went late Saturday afternoon on opening day, and it turned out to be my best day ever!

My wife bought me a Weatherby Orion Sporting model in 12 ga. with 30" ported barrels, which came with 5 extended choke tubes. I believe this one will be my new favorite gun for shooting crows!

My daughter's, also knowing how much I love over/under shotguns, bought me a Rizzini 12 ga. model BR460 EL with 32" barrels. Can't wait to take this gun to my next sporting clays shoot!

I don't shoot factory ammo in 12 ga ., but the amount of ammo they had was quite impressive to say the least, especially when compared to other places around here.

Love reading that about the shotgun shells.

Never made it to the fishing section after drooling over all those beautiful shotguns…

I hope they have a section dedicated to fly fishing, so maybe we can go check out that area of the store on our next visit.

I've been to Scheels three times in the last week here in Tulsa. It's pretty amazing. Huge place, the Ferris wheel line was long the first time I went. Now it is manageable but I am still not interested. I bought a couple thousand primers, Large Rifle and small pistol, a flannel shirt that I liked and a 45-70 RCBS shell holder, and a few chocolates from the candy store. The reloading section was overwhelming. Every sort of gear that every manufacturer makes. It is going to put Dicks and Bass Pro out of business.

Visited Scheels Tulsa on way back from Arkansas trip. Wow! I lucked out on parking spot by front doors.
Awesome selection on any type of items. I did purchase a pair of HOKA shoes for my plantar faciitis and they were $85 cheaper than in OKC. The wife and I probably walked around for nearly 2 hours, crowds not bad either. Prices not cheap on all kinds of items. Saw a two barrel shotgun for $16,000 They also had a used Colt 357 Cobra for $1,100. Tempted.

I went today (Saturday ~1 pm) to browse, but also to buy grips for a Ruger Redhawk. They had a small (3 foot by 4 foot) pegboard with some "grip-ish" stuff with a single pair of grips. The guy said that's all they stock.

Store so big I couldn't find my way out. $20,000 shotguns. But only 1 set of grips. For a 1911.

Went for the first and probably only time yesterday. Was in the neighborhood, thought it might be interesting.
Looked at a couple LW hunting jackets priced at 199 dollars. Nope. Too many people. We exited after about 15 minutes.

Went to Scheels today in the pouring rain. Parking was ridiculous to find but ended up getting lucky and parked near the entrance. Several Tulsa police doing security there, even seen some Game Wardens there. The girlfriend had never been to one so we decided to go.
