The knife fits very snug in the sheath and it rides in the backpack anyway.

Got my first “nice” knife. It’s an SDS Knifeworks out of Piedmont by Shawn Shropshire. Buckeye Burl and D2 steel with a sheath he made. Easy guy to deal with and the knife is beautiful and sharp. View attachment 322069View attachment 322070

It looks like a ‘Working Knife’. Secure Grip, Ergonomic Shape and Excellent Choice in a Non-crucible Steel. I like it…..

It was an interesting show with lots of expensive knives. I did see Shawn and talk to him, turned out he is the one who welded a piece to fix my bed, for my wife. Wife is good friends with his sister is the connection. Nice guy. Didn't buy anything, too rich for my blood.
