I've seen more local postings about guns being stolen in the last week, than I have seen in the last year. There are several in the classifieds, and I've seen some on other boards, as well. Wonder why that is? Thieves have to buy Christmas presents for their kids too, I guess.:uhh: Could it be crackheads looking to flip hot guns for smack, or could it be zombies trying to weaken our resistance? :anyone:

There has been a lot stolen lately. In fact, my dad had his 92fs stolen from his car right in front of his office! Needless to say he keeps his gun on his person 24/7 now.

I am pretty good at OSINT but I only use my powers for good.

This thread was a good reminder to write down the make, model, and serial # of all my guns and store it in a Google Document or something. I keep forgetting to do that.

I take 2 or more pictures of each gun to show the condition. I write the manufacture, model number, and serial number on the back of the pictures. I keep copies of these in my gun safe and safety deposit box. This will also help out with any insurance claims as well as a police report.

The economy certainly is strongly correlated with increase in crime. Tulsa recently has had over 1,500 thefts in one week alone. Without a doubt, there has been an increase in thefts within neighborhoods that are normally considered safe and sound. As far as guns go, they are an easy target for a thief to grab for a turnaround. Most thefts are related to drugs, but I have a feeling that with the downturn in the economy, people are also more desperate to resort to ways of finding money (not just to buy drugs alone). :angry3:

Just wondering how many of you guys have insurance on your guns? I have state farm and I have a personal articles policy for all my firearms. Its cheap @ only $2 for every $100 worth of value. Best part is no deductibles if your guns are lost or stolen. Everytime I get a new gun I have my insurance guy on speed dial. This way I'm not devastated if someone was to relieve me of my favorite toys while I'm at work or whatever.
