considering an sd spray for attachment to a hydration vest when running long and isolated. recommendations? experience?

I carry Halt spray when walking/hiking, it's specifically for animals and probably would't affect a human aggressor.
Recently I have been thinking about getting something more potent.

I carried pepper spray for 28 years on the job. I can assure you that it works just fine on 4 legged and two legged animals. I figure I was attacked at least 100 times by dogs. I was bitten 3 times, but all 3 were while the owner was standing there talking to me, so I didn't feel threatened enough to have the spray in my hand. I insist that my wife carries pepper spray when she goes for her morning walk. Its a no brainer as far as I am concerned
