Newsweek is in the process of completely redoing their business model. They are transforming from a "report the news" organization to a more editorial, "comment of the news and society" type of thing. They are purposely shrinking their subscriber base. More on this here:

I wish them well with their new strategy. To be honest, I wish more publications would take such an approach. I'd love it if more news outlets decided to provide thoughtful analysis of fewer topics (even if I disagree with their opinions/conclusions) instead of trying to cram as much fluff "news" as possible into every issue.

The nytimes is the biggest liberal editorial rag out there and people think its unbiased reporting.

I can tell you one thing. I sent my wife on a mission to capture a copy of this issue and there are none to be found in Tulsa. If they keep printing this line of writing they may actually make a profit!
