Our PD has an area set up specifically set up to complete transactions of any type that the public can use. It is well lighted, in front of the PD and the area is highly visible to the public and the on duty desk officer.

Many PD's have such areas setup. My preference is the PD lobby. If the prospective buyer/seller doesn't like the location then I don't want to do business with them.

I think there are a great deal of precaustions that can usually be taken, but some are ridiculous. I've seen people want a BOS with a multithousand dollar high end purchase. I promise, if I'm buying something that big for cash, I'm not committing a crime with it. You can see my Id and maybe my CCL, but want to write anything down and I want a pic of youre ID with your home address on it so you'll know how uncomfortable it makes me too. If it's too much to ask,, sell your stuff through a dealer.

I always do business at QT or a gas station during daylight hours.
