I'm fairly new to the optics world, so forgive my ignorance. I have a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 gen 3 I'm trying to mount a Romeo 5 TREAD model on. I don't know what the difference btwn the TREAD model and the standard Romeo 5 model is. The sight won't fully tighten on the pic rail so it wobbles and rattles. Other than shimming it up is there something else I should try? Is there a different mount I can use?

Not sure if pictures will help or not, but here they are.

I take it the clamp for the left side (in your 1st photo) is what grabs the dovetail on that side? Is your screw too long and running out of threads? (bottoming out before tightening?)

Be aware that the Romeo 5 is a highly counterfeited item --- depending on the source of that product then that could explain bad tolerances or machining. On the other hand, you could easily use a caliper to check the rail (or another known good mount/optic).

I don't know what is different about the tread but the product description says it's "optimized for the Sig M400" and who knows, besides Google, if there's any difference between the M400 and general rails that might be at play too.
