I went and saw it last night and really enjoyed it. For a Bond movie they had quite a bit happen... New Q, get to meet Miss Moneypenny, Old M dies, get new M, go to Bonds ancestral home, find out who his parents were, the Aston Martin gets destroyed. I like Craig as Bond better than I ever have any of the others. He's gritty and real and I think the crafting of the character is more in line with Ian Flemings vision of the character. For me, Casino Royale has been the best Bond movie to date, but this one is almost as good. I believe these last 3 films were just a prelude for bigger and better things to come, or at least I hope so.

Is it as good as Moonraker..?

I loved Moonraker as a kid, but haven't watched it in years cause I can no longer stomach the hokey-ness of that era. Skyfall and the previous 2 Bond reset movies are much better crafted and stay truer to Flemings vision of the character in my opinion. I understand Craig as Bond is not for everyone and many hate him, but I can honestly say that for the first time in the history of the Bond character, that I find myself wishing I was as bad ass as him. That's the kind of impact Craig's portrayal of the character and the writing has had on me.

me, i think bond died with roger moore but i'm old school. it was a good flick but miss the gadgets of the older bonds. daniel craigs list of gadgets include his fists and feet! i did notice that the circle was completed. does anyone think that some remakes af the older movies were set up and in the works?... a new M, a new Q and Moneypenny being established....just a thought.

It's already been stated by the production company I think, that Casino Royale is the last Bond film to be based on an actual story and that Quantum of Solace will be the last Fleming title. From here on out it's supposed to be completely new storylines utilizing the characters Fleming created.

I saw Skyfall yesterday and really enjoyed it. It was a very good Bond movie, but not a great Bond movie. I'm a Sean Connery as James Bond fan, so Daniel Craig has big shoes to fill. Connery was great with his short comedic moments and had a sharper contrast from comedy to serious and aloof. Daniel Craig has serious and aloof down, so now he needs to work on the comedic side.
