Still waiting on the Mahindra diesel pickup to make here......................and still waiting .......................................and still waiting ............................. lot a red tape coming here from India is what I hear. A small 4x4 diesel SUV as well. http://www.dfwmahindra.com/

I don't know about the Mahindras; when I was researching SUT's to buy one for my place, I often came across horror stories of Mahindra tractor owners trying to find parts and learning that the standardization of Mahindra parts is, well, cr@ppy. The 3016 made it into my top 3 list, but with these issues, plus the fact I could get a Cub Cadet Yanmar SX3100 with a more storied engine with two more hp for a bit less... I went with the latter. Love it so far.

I always pay cash for my vehicles. Learned early on that I'm not able to afford to put a banker on my payroll. Here's a good lesson on finances that I picked up on when I first heard about Dave Ramsey.

My 2006 Mahindra has been good tractor and researched them for over a year before buying, couldn't beat the hp and heaviness for the money and wanted a Mitsubishi diesel over a Yanmar. Had a couple of friends with Yanmars in their JD's that were troublesome.

Awesome link. Thanks. I'm of the same mind but it's nice to see it laid out like that. We can argue over which car is best but in the end, the most important thing is to pay cash! I've finally learned my lesson on that.

A lot of people don't realize that the lack of financial stability in the American family threatens our security as a nation. People in Asia understand the importance of buying only what you can afford. We seem to be ignorant when it comes to money.

We had a small diesel SUV for a year or two. It was the Jeep Liberty. http://www.greencar.com/articles/jeep-liberty-crd-diesel-powered-fuel-efficient-suv.php

Rumor has it that they are putting diesel in the Grand Cherokee soon. I'll believe it when I see it.
