UPDATE:

Went and got it. It's sweet, time for appearance modifications. Are there any places I can shoot this at, outside and not have to go to the range?? Anyone know??

They are sweet guns. I have two freinds that have them and I just bought one as well. I bought one that came with a muzzle brake on it. Im also putting a front grip and red dot. They make good training rifles to practice fundamentals w/o the cost of ammo too.

Does anyone have the pistol version? M&P 15-22P
Is there a kit to buy to make the rifle like the pistol?

I just got the version w the Magpul stuff on it at H&H last Thursday.
It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but it was the only place in town which had one.

I actually have an embarassing question regarding the Magpul front sight post.
I did a quick search and didn't see anything about it.
Specifically, just by looking at it, it seems like it is already set all the way up.
The front sight post is level with the "wings" or whatever the shroud thing is called.
Kind of afraid to go shooting in fear that I'll be waaay off, and I'm not totally sure how to adjust it.

Probably going to take it shooting later this week anyway.

Incidentally, I saw they did have the pistol version there.
It looked bigger than I imagined it.

I have seen way too many of those things spit out extractors on the firing line at Appleseeds for me to risk the money buying one. Pretty cool idea for a rifle, but only if it works.
