I got this little guy with the lawnmower but it kinda had me stumped on the species any ideas?

Description:
This small snake is usually gray or brown, with two parallel rows of small blotches that run down the length of its back. The scales are keeled and its belly can be brown, pink, or light yellow. Newborn brown snakes have a yellow or cream-colored ring around the neck.

Size:
Adults 10 - 15 inches (25 - 38 cm)

Prey:
Slugs, snails, and earthworms.

Reproduction:
Mates in spring and gives birth to up to 30 young in the summer.

Habitat:
Woodlands, marshy areas, and urban settings such as vacant lots, gardens, and trash piles.

Other Information:
Also called "DeKay's snake," after James Edward DeKay, a New York naturalist.

Yeah, looks like a brown snake. I found one in my dining room one night. Surprise! Snake in the house.
