The Bodark (Bois d'Arc) that I am familiar with were fence posts that had been put up many years ago. I can attest that if the staple ever pulled out to allow the fence wire to droop, one was NEVER going to be able to drive in another staple to refasten the wire to the post. That stuff is DANG hard once it "cures." Instead of a staple, we would just have to use baling wire to fasten the fence wire back to the post by wrapping around the wire and post.
