Several guys here reccomended them to me in the rifle section and they work great and are actually the company that makes the springfield mags, these just have their logo on them. 44mag.com has a great price on them too.

I though about seeing if I could make a magnifier fit there.

You might have to try some cantilever type setup to get it in the right place, and a monster of a cheek piece to get your eye behind it, but sounds fun.

Do you use the high thumb hold on the AFG like the magpul guys like to do? Seems like that thumb would get rather toasty on some rifles. That or scraped up on that top rail.
